Opening ceremony

The State Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou cordially invites you to the grand opening of the JABLONEC 2026 International Triennial of Glass and Jewellery.

The grand opening of the project’s first four exhibitions will take place on Thursday, May 14, at 5:00 p.m. “We will open the main exhibition TRENDS. DESIGN. PRODUCTION, which explores utility glass on the Czech market. Visitors can also look forward to The Direction to the Stars, featuring young artists working with art glass, and an exhibition dedicated to domestic manufacturers of borosilicate glass. For the first time, we will also present designer glass Christmas ornaments created as part of the 2nd annual international symposium,” said Petr Nový, the museum’s chief curator, inviting visitors to the Triennial.

Musical accompaniment for the opening ceremony will be provided by Lenka Morávková and her unique glass musical instrument, the Bohemian Cristal Instrument.
