The exhibition titled TRENDS.DESIGN.PRODUCTION is the biggest regular selective presentation of glass and costume jewellery, not only in the Czech Republic but also in Europe, with tens of participants regularly participating in it – 81 participants from 8 countries this year. Its ambition is to present the current appearance of the sector once every three years, with the understanding that the specific items are not chosen by the curators, but by the exhibitors themselves, who should know best which of their products they believe meet trend, design and production principles. However, the role of curator remains important, because the curators are responsible for choosing the participants, when they select active and creative companies or studios and not enterprises benefiting from a distant reputation, trading entities presenting themselves as producers, or parasites.
